Update
Our provider has completed the copper and fiber cable repairs. Customer service restoral has been verified on all but 5 customers. We will investigate these cases on an individual basis.

Update
Our provider has completed some of the copper and fiber cable repairs and we are seeing some POTS lines restored. We still have 10 of the 22 reports still down. They are reporting a delay in the delivery of the copper cable and state it may be several days before they begin the restoral of the still affected lines.

Update
Our Provider has completed some of the copper and fiber cable repairs and we are seeing some POTS lines restored. They have provided completion of all the work by 9/9. We will notify customers as we see their services restored.

Update
Our Provider has confirmed this event is due to a large cable outage, Their technicians are working in the area restoring the defective copper cable sections. They have provided an estimated repair time of between 9/1 and 9/9. They have advised us that the repair time of 9/1 should be considered cautiously optimistic.

Our Support Team will begin contacting customers on 9/5 to confirm if any services have restored.

Monitoring
Our support team has received estimated commitment dates from our Provider for each of our opened tickets. There is a commonality with some of the tickets relating to a possible copper cable failure with a restoral time of 8:00 p.m. 9/1. We will follow up with our Provider in the morning for further updates.

There has been no correlation of a network event from our Provider. We are monitoring any dispatch notes they can provide on each ticket open with them. We will continue to work with our Provider for a root cause.

We are currently experiencing a Minor service disruption impacting POT telephone services in the Los Angeles area.

Customers may be experiencing service disruption impacting legacy POTS lines. Our Operations teams are engaged with our Provider team to investigate this event.
